They have them for Redeye, model 66s also. They were about $75, but may have gone up like everything else.
If you could get free machines, it may be worth doing one.

I have a few cheap machines but I doubt if I would bother.

actually, mine were under $40... I have bought three different sets from them and they were all of pretty good quality. What I liked is that when I bought the early 29-4 set he made I showed him how the size was off, he changed his design for future orders and sent me a new one. Pretty cool

Cari, you are absolutely right there! I think the decal job Steve did turned out wonderful! I'm doubtful that I could do that well! I'm a little bit mechanically minded, but not too much! That's why I haven't used by Singer 201-2 until I can work on the shellac clear coat!

Sorry, but I am LOUSY with model decals..(planes, cars, etc) I always have been. this was pretty easy. The secret was to keep the decals wet after sliding them onto the bed that way i could schootch them around to be correct.

EDIT: It was easy enough that I am considering getting the expensive three color Tiffany set and redoing that one.

You really did a good job Steve. It takes practice to get good at doing the tiny ones. I used to do nails (fingernail art) so I know about this. I got pretty good at doing my own nail art one handed so I think I could do a pretty good job with a sewing machine. Yes the big secret is having the area wet when laying down the decal.

Until you do something with the finish you could put a sheet magnet down on the bed and it will protect it unless you drag the magnet.

Funny, I used to do fingernail art also, but not decals. I figured out in my early 20's that my skills developed painting D&D miniatures could be applied to fingernails. So, I set up a booth at the local flea market and spent the day holding ladies hands while painting custom fingernails...
