I love my 1932 Singer for everyday piecing and quilting -- can't believe that it spent many, many years in its cabinet since I inherited it from my MIL in the 80s -- she bought it in the late 50s and used it for many years very successfully--I started using it two years ago when my 1990 Singer broke a gear and I was in the middle of a project -- I was fortunate in that just oiling my ancient Singer and a little cleaning got it working perfectly again-- enjoy yours

I'm glad you got a "new" machine and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine. I love using my 15-91, born in 1939 and still a work horse! I learned to sew on this great machine. My late mom did everything on it -- making clothes (including heavy-duty work pants for my dad), furniture upholstery, custom drapery, anything that needed to be sewn.
