I would think a Singer drawing of the Improved Family would be better than a picture of a machine. Who knows who has gotten a hold of a machine or what was added or subtracted to these over the 100 plus years.

Lots of machines get modified in 100 years..or less. I was once walking past a 56 Chevy. but all the sheet metal in front of the windshiled was from a 55. Cheap repair sometime, or made to be a puzzle? Who knoows?
Bicycles get heavily modified, too.
