Question Singer 201-2

Good Morning! I'm new to this message board so please be kind. I recently purchased a Singer 201-2. She is a BEAUTY! But has a pretty significant drawback, the knee lever (I'm not sure if that is the correct term) is missing. Where is the best place to purchase this? Also I have lubricated all areas according to the User Manual I have downloaded but it calls for Singer non flowing lubricant for the motor grease cups. Would anyone know where I could purchase this or an equivalent.
Thank you in advance and I appreciate any help!

Welcome. I have a 201-2 also. They are great machines. Singer also gifted one to Queen Elizabeth for her wedding to Prince Phillip. Just a tangent there. From what I have read on this forum plus other resources on the web, the new Singer lubricant is not the same as it was when your machine was manufactured. The Featherweight shop, https://singer-featherweight.com/, sells a product called Sew-Retro grease which is supposed to work not only in the Singer Featherweights, but also in the 201-2's. I have not tried it so I can't comment on the effectiveness. When I bought my 201-2, it came with an original tube of the motor lube.
As far as the foot pedal (or knee lift if you prefer), there may be some for sale on ebay.

Just a disclaimer, I am not affiliated with the Featherweight shop, just wanted to give a resource for what you are looking for.

I can't tell if your machine came in a bentwood case or in a cabinet. If it came in a wood case, there is a hole in the front of the base. There were three knee bars for the bentwood cases. https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...-img_2190.jpeg shows two and then there is a curved one with a different (flat) end that goes into the base. Here are the different curved ones at https://oldsingershop.com/products/s...32114430574628

Then there are some machines that had a bracket inside the cabinet that was basically a place to put a controller in and then a lever that one could use as a knee bar. Some even had a foot controller bracket that could be used either by taking the controller out of the bracket and use as a foot controller or use the knee bar.

Do not use the new Singer lubricant for your motor nor Tri-Flow grease. There is some disagreement if just regular petroleum jelly is okay to use on the motors or not.
