Singer 206
#12
11.50 plus 13% auction fee.
plus $5 ship to other location (it was in Cleveland with Columbus transfer available).
Plus me driving to Columbus (just short of an hour) on Saturday morning just to pick it up when we have some plans in the afternoon.
I just didn't want it bad enough.
Maybe the 191u I found at an estate sale today..... I might go back on 50% off day but again, I don't know if I want it bad enough.

If you use it with size 12 and 14 needles the different needle thing isn't a problem. Mine is the industrial version (extremely heavy, and has a knee lift) but it's lovely, a centennial and this series machine have a vertical bobbin so you can use it for free motion work. I believe it was the first domestic to have a "swing needle" (zig-zag).
As long as you don't need to sew canvas or heavy denim (which you need bigger needles for), the 206 will do it easily, and with zig-zag.
Also, double needles are very hard to find but not impossible: I got a box (three) of them with differing gaps with a 319K I won on eBay a few months ago.
