Default Singer 66 vs 201 or 15-91 feed dog height.

Is it me or does it appear that the feed on the 66 rises slightly higher than the feed on the 201 and 15-91?

I was skeptical when I found my 201. I thought the feed looked too low to make proper contact with the medium to be sewn. Same with the 15. However I have never worried about the 66, the feed seems to rise a little higher...anyone else notice this?

Hmm, I've never thought to look and see if there are differences in feed dog height between any of my machines. I *think* the dogs should be at the same height though. Have you checked them with a guage?

I don't look at the feed like that unless it gives me a reason to look so I don't have a clue. I have a friend that is really up in all of that or likes to check each machine she gets for it, yet I have sewn for too many years to count and if it doesn't give me any problems I don't check it out. This isn't a problem for lots of machines, but some times I suppose you would run into it where you would have to fix one.

There are height specs and they will be close to the same.... It could be that Igor tampered with the height of one of them.

Do you have a gauge Miriam? I bet you do.
