My 15-91 is in a mahogany 42 cabinet. It came with a knee controller, which I love. My MIL has a 201-2 in the oak colored cabinet and she has a foot pedal in it. My DH rewired the foot pedal and he found that the hardest part was removing the bottom draw to have access to the wires.

The one you are looking at looks like in beautiful shape.

Mom's Necchi is in a cabinet with the ink well and pencil tray. For years, reason unknown, it had a bullet in it. Just checked, and its a 40 cal Smith and Wesson. Really strange, as I know of no guns anyone had that took that caliber. My uncle was a CHP officer, and he had a safety pin in with his spare rounds in the little packet on his Sam Brown belt. That fascinated my sister and I when we were little, but as an adult I can understand it. Since he never even drew his gun at work, he no doubt had more use for a safety pin, lol. No one uses them for ink anymore, if they ever did, and it would be fun to figure out what's in them now. It's way too good a "safe place" to put things to leave it empty.

It has been almost a year looking around, having some patience and now I found one in very good shape. It even had the inkwell with the jar. The owner had appliqué pins inside the jar. Some minor finish missing on top back edge where the two flip-outs meet when closed. The machine is a 15K90 without electrical, yet. Disconnected motor and a Bakelite foot pedal with no electrical cord came with it. Machine gold is almost completely intact where fabric and hands would be. The faceplate seems to have a buildup of smoke residue and a bit of rust. I have a 15-91 that I want to put in the cabinet for FMQ. I also do some heavy duty sewing for DH from time to time and wonder if the 15K90 will handle those projects just as well. Thanks for all your help in questions about the cabinets and the machines.

Those light lugs most likely go into the 3 pronged electrical block with tiny hand nuts on the back. Wonder if I have a picture? Hmmm

Your 15 looks very nice, the lamp still has the glass lens! On mine it had been removed, and I think I know why (it can get a bit too hot, luckily we have led bulbs these days). I think it's a 15-90. The cabinet looks very nice too, they are usually not in as good condition as yours. I wonder why someone took the motor, sice it looks like the machine will polish up perfectly with a bit of effort.

Nice cabinet! I just put one of those out for the trash man. It had been painted and the veneer was peeling off. I would never get that much repair work done to a cabinet.

I have the mahogany #42 cabinet. I have seen the blond oak one in the wild as well as several other mahogany ones, but I have not seen a walnut one.
