Thanks, Cari.

That's too bad. I like the cabinet.

That machine is a Singer 15 clone, so it will fit in any old Singer cabinet (by far the most common). It'll also work great in a treadle cabinet, you can switch between the motor and treadle drive! That MW cabinet is a weird size, I think it's the Domestic cutout size.

Rocsew that's not a clone. It does have the Singer footprint and will fit Singer cabinets.

Is the 21 Jewel a straight stitcher? I would rather go for the brown MW model, it looks so nice it the cabinet, and it from the info on it, it's a very capable and perfectly good machine. Is it sold?

I have a Montgomery Black machine with the silver clovers decals and face plates... where can I find a new tension spring ... the one on this little beauty is rusty and I am trying to find one before this one brakes. The machine was given to me and she had a lot of rust on her... But I have cleaned her up and the little motor is sound I will be rewiring from the duel plug down to the foot petal today.. any help for finding this part would be so awesome...

Spiderwoman67, here's a link to a beehive tension spring that will fit most models: http://shop.sew-classic.com/Spring-B...-SCT125314.htm. Does your MW look like this by any chance:

Mickey, the 21 Jewel is a zigzag machine that has cams. That's what the little plastic box in the photo has in it. They are red and about the size of a quarter.

Spiderwoman, if your machine does not look like that, can you post a photo?

    I think it's the 7 Jewel that's a straight stitch machine but I'm not 100% positive.

I didn't notice the box of cams, I just couldn't identify any stitch width lever or needle position function on the machine. Looking at it now I see the round knob with a whitish opaque surface, or maybe it's a reflection in the metal.
