Default Sovereign 400 Sewing Machine Parts And Manual

I recently acquired an old Sovereign Model 400 machine (see attached photo). I am skilled at restoring old sewing machines and have brought this one back to operating condition, but I need a new check spring and an operating manual. I have looked all over the internet, but can't locate these materials.

Does anyone know where I can find these items?

Welcome to Quilting Board, rkwingo. Since you are skilled at restoring old sewing machines, you probably already know this is a vintage Japanese zigzag machine. As such, there are probably many similar machines with different badge name as seen in the thread Vintage Japanese 'Badged' Zig Zag and Straight Sew Sewing Machines What is shown in your picture reminds me of my Miracle machine, or maybe one like Vintage Japanese 'Badged' Zig Zag and Straight Sew Sewing Machines

Does your machine have an opening on top for stitching cams? There is a similar manual at https://www.manualslib.com/manual/11...ag.html#manual or maybe https://res.cloudinary.com/singer-se...hite-231-x.pdf
I'm not sure which check spring your machine would use. Was there one that was bent out of shape or broken? As you probably know there are lots of different check springs. I would suggest looking through images of check springs to see if there are similar. I'm guessing that it would be either https://www.sewingmachinesplus.com/5...2dfcdd9c342781 or https://ultimatesewingandvac.com/pro...ese-pull-down/

The machine does have a door on the top that opens so that stitching cams can be changed out.

I will search the web for check springs and see what is out there that is similar. I will also look at the manual links you sent.

    Thanks for your help!
