It looks like it's still there. Did you contact them through the web site? There are some very nice ones in your area at the moment, a Necci BU too.

CatD I was gong to fuss at you for trying to snag machines from my state. Then I realized I've snagged machines from OK, MO and NE Craigslist lately. South Dakota was devoid of anything interesting enough for what I wanted to pay.
But I think I'll be statebound for a while now, I snagged a two spool from Inola OK. I don't know why CL doesn't search "Free" when you search "all".

Awesome, Leonf that you got that two spool in Inola! I saw that one, not really my era so didn't jump. But it looked like a good one! There's a green Singer 185k right now listed for pickup only in Wichita on the Goodwill Auction site. Have considered making the drive for that one, but it's really too much of a trip for me right now.

Two Spool is now oiled, cleaning is started. I learned how to thread the lower spool this weekend. I found a green 185 at a garage sale. Haven't messed with it yet. It is about the newest of my desirable range.

To be fair, I wasn't a QB-er until I got the machine and was trying to figure out what I'd just picked up. Was it the curbside ad with the school desks and Christmas tree? I sent my husband to snag it at noon on Sunday. It was seriously about a mile from my house.
And honestly, I don't know what it's worth is overall. I just know that the old metal ones have always run nicer than my 2002 Singer - which I finally got a professional to agree with me has a problem with the tension and with thread nesting (after five years of trouble) - and I can't afford to shell out a $70 service fee to return it to mediocre running condition. I was super jazzed to find a free one and even more excited to find that it has feed dog controls (my old machine did not). But I do intend to love it and sew with it and give it a good home.
(What I'm less excited about is that I just got a whole set of presser feet for the low-shank Singer, and now I need new, high-shank feet.)
