Thanks, Cathy. I finally got it out once I figured out how to do it. Can I use sewing machine oil inside the case inside the machine to clean it? It is a bit dusty that doesn't come out by itself. Don't want it to be too slippery if it isn't supposed to be. Machine is amazingly clean. And, it doesn't pick up the bobbin thread. It came with a needle in it, and a bobbin in it, so I'm assuming it did sew. I think I have it threaded correctly.

I would be very cautious about this. Old Microscopes do not have fragile decals....

EDIT: I just re-read that you were referring to the Case, there it is fine!

And my question about oiling inside the bobbin case holder to get some dirt out?

Got it up and running. But, I can't move the stitch regulator. Should I take the bottom off and see what's what?

Cute!!

I NEVER find good stuff at estate sales! I get lucky at thrift/charity shops sometimes, but estate sales...not so much.

Enjoy your new toy! Perfect green color, just in time for St. Patty's!

I wouldn't use oil to get dirt out of hard to reach areas. It attracts lint, dust and new dirt because you can't dry it up.
Cleaning thoroughly then oiling is the general rule. I find toothpicks and cotton buds good cleaning tools for small hard to reach areas.

Sporter, you'd do better to start a new thread than tag on to ones that are several years old.

I have three of these machines, one is for sure for parts, but I don't recall if I had a bobbin case with it.

Do you also have bobbins? Because of how they clip in, I don't think anything else will work. I've been trying to find extra bobbins for a few years now.

Here is what they look like
