I was thinking of getting a hand crank kit for my 99K, Rusty. He came to me all rusted up and pathetic. I've got him apart, mostly derusted and ready to go back together. I do have a motor set up, but I was thinking of a hand crank since I don't have one.
Did you get yours from Sew-Classic?

Lori,
My first one was a gift from my late cousin.
The second one ( subject of this thread) came from GW here in Springfield.
The third one was bought as parts for the second one, but since nothing fits I'm rebuilding it too.
The fourth one we tripped over in IN picking up a portable machine.
So they are out there. I wasn't really looking for any of them.

Jon Stossel on Fox News just did a segment on all the inane warnings and disclaimers everything has to have these days. All just to avoid the huge claims handed out by juries in a lot of law suits. Some of them really cracked me up!

I just ordered a hand crank from Shop-Sew-Classic. Is this going to be a Chineese manufactured part also? I guess I'm going to have to be prepared for some problems, maybe. I'm changing out my New Home "Ideal"( 3/4 si e machine made in 1928) that was switched over to electric. I want a hand crank on it since the electrical cord is in need of replacement. I don't want electric since I think it was an add-on. It's a cute little machine and would be fun to take to Quilt Guild meetings when we do sewing. It's fairly light weight. Probably lighter than my regular electric portable I usually take.
