I avoid looking at any sites other than the one in Hillsboro, OR so I don't have to deal with shipping issues and so I don't fall in love with a machine I can't have shipped to me. I have purchased two smaller ones from them - one a Singer 40K in great shape and with its box.

My best Goodwill deal was in the bin store in Hillsboro - a quilt that I took apart and remade. It cost me $1.59/lb. and was a baby size quilt.

    Judy,
Thanks I'll bookmark this thread for the future. Sometimes I see machines in the Tacoma facility that they won't ship and I drool over them. So I was looking for someone who could pick up a machine and ship it to me.
Missed this auction, hopefully the machine comes up again.

I have seen many nice machines at the Hillsboro facility. But their shipping is always much higher than other GW places so I sadly pass them by.

Me too. Nice to know that there's someone who can help us. There's one auction that I also missed. its for a machine that is my birth year.
