I vote to keep it. I had two and sold them, but missed them so much, I bought another. They are so easy to transport and use. They are great little machines. I'm sure you can find somewhere to store it.

It sounds like you enjoyed sewing on yours. I enjoy sewing on my 301 but it sounds like the OP doesn't so not much point in keeping it if she doesn't enjoy using it.

I inherited a FW and I love her. Taught my grandson to sew on her as well as the girls. I would never get rid of her. While it doesn't do fancy stuff, it surely is good to use when mending.

I have reached a point in my life where I am not hanging on to things I don't use or love, and I'm not saving anything for anyone else in the family or who may enter my family at some point. I personally would sell it and be done with it. (P.S., I love mine)!

    $250 for black, $300 - $350 for celery, $500 for beige, $1000+ for 222
And let's not forget the crinkle finish, the rarest of them all. I think the last one I saw on Ebay went for $2500+

My beige Feather weight is my go to machine and I would never let her go. I have many other machines both old and some new.

If it doesn't bring you pleasure--let it go. Someone else will love to have it.

Hi, I always wanted a feather weight and sure wish I purchased one a few years ago, so if you don't have a need for it I would be more than happy to use it for you and pay whatever you paid

i have the same 1961 tan featherweight you mentioned and its in great shape. have the case accessories manual and have decided it is time to part with mine. the thing is to get a price that would balance what i paid for it. i also have a 1954 black featherweight in great shape, with case and all the other stuff. she needs to be serviced as it hasn't been used in awhile. the tan one just went through servicing, new belts, lights ready to go. so how does one go about selling these toys my tan one by the way has the red S which i guess makes it more of a collectable.

There is a black 222 with case and all accessories on our Bisman online sale site. they want $1300 for it. It has been on there quite a while. I don't think there is the interest in it in my area, like there is in others. I have 2 FW's and personally will not sell them. I don't use them all the time, but I have 2 granddaughters who might want to learn to sew and I would give them the machines if they did. However, their mom does not sew and so I don't think they will be getting the bug either. My oldest grandson made a quilt for himself with the very first one I bought. I will have mine set up in my sewing trailer when I get everything in it.
