threading vintage Brother
Can anyone provide a threading diagram for a vintage blue Brother "Precision Built" sewing machine as pictured below...trying to repair one and it won't sew the way I've threaded it...also, I think the tension dial is messed up, if someone has access to the manual & diagram of how the parts should be assembled (I think this is the REAL problem) Thanks...

I would try:
Thread spool to the front thread guide, down behind that horizontal hook above the tension assemble, down the right side of tension assembly, right to left through tension disks, into tension spring, back through the horizontal hook above tension assembly, up and right to left through the thread take up lever, down through the two thread guides on the front of the machine, through the thread guide on the needle bar, and then left to right through the needle.
Here is a link to a thread about a similar machine, and the owner has a manual, and might help you out.

Is the needle inserted properly? The flat side of the needle should be mounted flat side towards the balance wheel. Your Brother looks similar to my Atlas. Should thread approximately the same.
