Joe-
Does this machine have a slant foot? I might have a foot or two I could send you. Might have a walking foot. You'll have to be patient, though, I finish up at school this week and have to move my classroom before I can look.
If it does, pm me with your address and I'll see what I find.

I find so many old machines in this area....in all conditions and so cheap. i hate the fact they have no homes. I just have no more room. At one time i had 12 but had to give some up.
They are so heavy and shipping and packaging are so difficult.
My favorite is a 401a and a 185 both singer. I am going to give up the 401 cause i just don't use it. In a perfect world I would have a big house and lots of money and could 'save' allthese sweet machines.....I love the one you have :D

It looks similar to my Singer 328K with fashions for fancy stitches. Yes, my singer was made in Great Britain also.
The workings are all metal and will last forever. Good find for you and so lucky.

Do you need me to take a picture of it and post it here?T The booklet says, Instructions Stylist zig-zag sewing Machine/model 457 Singer. copyright 1969. My daughter used this machine before I gave it away. I made a copy of the manuel incase she lost the original or trashed it.

My first machine was a Singer Stylist (still use it) that my parents gave to me in 1978. While cleaning my sewing cabinet last night, I found the original bill of sale and it costs $1000.00 Think what it would cost today. And it still runs like a top..Hope you enjoy.
