Default Too bad they want $300 for this Singer 15 with Wings

This is a picture of the machine from an add that has been up for a while. He wants a lot for this machine.

It has a nice base, manual and attachments. Wish he didn't want so much for it.

Yes, sorry its a 115, it says so on the manual that he took a picture of.
I know the modern 15 machines well, but is there an older original 15 that is different from say a 15-90? is this that model?

The older 15's look about the same as this 115, just different decal patterns. I don't think they are significantly different than the more modern machines - just modifications over the years. I've been looking and looking for an older 15. Found one in a treadle cabinet, but they wanted to much and I didn't want another treadle base.

BTW - I payed $49 for mine, and it is in very nice shape - just the head and attachments. However they sold the Lotus they had for $15, and it was gone before my friend called - or I'd have taken both.

The 115 takes a different bobbin and bobbin case than the 15 - but you can get new bobbins - they are not Singer, I forget which ones fit, but someone posted it on this board not too long ago.

If you wait a month or two, he may come to his senses and accept less. Many folks are "wowed" by the ASKING prices on ebay, but do not check the actual selling price, if any.
