    I love the natural wood showing. I never "paint" anything I restore.

    That cabinet looks wonderful. Nice job. What about the iron treadle works? How is that cleaned? I just keep dusting mine, but they could use some work.

    We wiped down the iron with sewing machine oil at the same time we oiled the working parts.

    I would clean, lightly sand and wipe on padding shellac to bring back the luster.
