Thanks KG2. It's tempting if it's still there. Mostly I haven't been buying lately but I do like the hidden cam door on it and seeing that it's a German made machine, I'm sure it's a high quality machine. Older Kenmores generally are anyway. The 401 I just bought was a deal that was too good to pass up and that pretty much finished off my sewing machine "budget" for the month, also the Kenmore is just the head. No case or anything with it. It would be a while before I could even do anything with it. I have a backlog of projects already.

Floral decals, I'll assume that it's the Tiffany pattern. Did it look something like this?

Here's a picture of the actual machine - I believe it is like the one you have Cathy. It's in pretty good shape too, IMHO. I now have other pictures too; back, side, cabinet. I'm not sure if it's necessary to post them. I think we are probably clear on the specifics of this machine.

LOL I like the ones that are all beat up and really used - kind of like vintage wine or aged cheese...

Kenmore Gal2, I know this is off topic but I am in love with the sewing machine you use as a gravatar. It is a beauty.

Thanks so much for saying that! I love it too. It was my Mom's. I use it almost daily. I even have an extra one stored in my crawl space.
