Flew from Tampa, FL to VT. and when Itold guy scanning baggage the round metal canister was mom's ashes, he turned white and sent it through in a hurry. Jerry and I had a good laugh when we got away from scanner.

How funny. I had an experience like that on a trip home from Seattle. I had bought a chahuly glass globe filled with sand and tiny sea shells and star fish. When they X-rayed the bag it was the exact shape of a small bomb. They did not ask me to unpack it, but just what it was. We all had a good laugh at the check in

YYes, I would have hand-carried it as well. There's a very funny video on YouTube about an entertainer who sent his guitar to the baggage compartment and it was slaughtered! The funny part about it is he wrote a song called "_____________, ___________ breaks guitars" (just made sure I didn't offend by including the airline's name!)
