Thank you for the videos about cleaning and oiling vintage machines. I have learned a great deal...clear and concise information.

Muv! Your tutorial, part 1 and part 2, is excellent! Concise and quick! Works for me! And I like how you use the crochet cotton to help clean hard to clean areas. I learned something new there. Beautiful machine! Thanks again!

Jacquie, I have been squinting hard at the picture of your Singer 28, and it looks as though the thread take-up spring is missing from by the tension discs. If it has been broken off and there is still the remainder of the spring inside behind the tension discs, you might be able to pull the end out with pliers and twist it into a new loop. If you need a new spring, you can get them from treadlelady.com You might want to look at her site anyway because she sells feet and shows how to restore the woodwork on machines.

Wow Jacquie! Two Little Beauties! I wish I could offer you good advice like you did for me, but I do hope you have a lot of fun with these! How amazing that you found two! I think I am catching the vintage bug too! I'm drooling over your pictures. :P
