Default ? use Singer Model 600 for quilting

I would like to learn to machine quilt but not sure if my Singer Model 600 can handle. Does anyone use it to quilt? Do you use a walking foot? If not, how best to do? A YouTube video suggests using the Darning settings to do free motion quilting. Any advice before I get started would be most appreciated!

You might want the walking foot and a little bar to keep your design straight but I doubt if you want to use it for free motion.
