I would go ahead and get it and just explain to your husband that it's an early present for your granddaughter when she get's here and think of the money we're saving even now compared to how much it would cost to pay for it in the future. Then think about how happy she will be when she sees the look on your face after she has sewn something for you and how proud of her you will be. Now isn't $25.00 such a small price to pay?... If you can add to that more power to you. )) Now get it before it's too late!!!

I bought one of those earlier this summer for $20 at an antique mall. I think it is just adorable and I couldn't just leave it there with all the iron beauties! I have plenty of the vintage machines (didn't realize exactly how many until this week when we were loading the moving truck to take a load to our new to us out of state home! Oops, how did that happen???).

You guys are very good! Almost talked me into it. I called and talked to the guy working. I wanted him to plug it in and see if it works. I doesn't plug in - it uses batteries. Just checked on e-bay and it seems most of them use batteries. I know they didn't want kids plugging things in but wouldn't the batteries just die. Oh well, found some batteries and when I go to work tomorrow, I'm going to check it out!
