The White is prolly a stronger machine. Does the top knob on the pillar display red when you change stitch lengths. If so, then you have reverse.

Your dressmaker is one of many called dashboard machines.

I ave a White Rotary very similar to your, I love it. Both machines look like they've been well kept and will serve you the rest of your life probably, with oil and cleaning care.
