http://kansascity.craigslist.org/clt/3334222951.html ~ This is a nice looking machine and cabinet and stool but too rich for my blood and pocketbook.
picked one this summer just like your second listing for $5, no attachments and it is in a carrying case, but did hace a water logged booklet with it.

Chris they would charge more for that service... and it is pretty cool to be able to knit or crochet on a sowing machine... maybe even weave...

I've got one of those! It's on my front porch if you want it. I haven't gotten around to taking it to the ReStore yet. It's been painted, but is in nice shape for all of that.

Someday, I will find one for a reasonable price. That's what I keep telling myself anyway.

"Hand treadle sewing machine. Table model with carry case. Very few of this model made, over 100 years old in good condition."

I just want to reply with: No, No, No, and Are you kidding?
Hand Treadle? Singer didn't know the meaning "rare". I'm 99% sure it's not 100, never mind over 100. The bent wood cases in 1912 looked different, and that decal set is newer. And $300? I almost choked on my tea!

Sure made my heart go pitter pat to see all of those machines. But it was sad to see them in a pile. Oh My! Yes, I do hope they find good homes also.
