Yes, well I guess we COULD take their word for it...

Nobody seems to know anything about 201K's here - you could get one in mint condition in a nice cabinet for that money. Not sure what's happening down under but there's a distinct lack of appreciation for some of these great machines.

if I read it right plenty of people on QB seem to be fixated on the new plastic wonders.

When I said "here" I meant Australia - following on from previous question about machine values in Australia. Obviously they are HIGHLY valued here

They are highly valued by us sewing machine kooks but not necessarily by all the quilters.

50 AUD = 48.49 USD as of today.

Considering the amount of rodent damage to that 201K I'd have to pass. And I wouldn't mind having that machine but it's just a horrid mess. Poor thing.

Well, Joe, beauty IS in the eye of the beholder... It looks like the beholder thinks it is beautiful or something or he would have scrapped it.

    Miriam,

I've been around the bend with rodent damaged machines. Got it up and running too. So far the paint hasn't been dealt with and it's still UGLY.

If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, maybe the seller of that 201K should go to the ER and have it removed.
