" in good shape, needs only a motor overhaul which can be done in less than 60 min. Will sell for $100 much less than going rates,"

Uh... if it needs a motor overhaul, is it still in good shape? 60 minutes, eh? Which going rates are these?

The owner of the "orange blossom special" probably needs to sell it to buy a decent camera and photo program for the computer so overcoming poor photography wouldn't be too difficult.

Sometimes punctuation is everything. HE (or SHE) should be called the "Victorian Classic Model idiot". The barkcloth he raves about is the ugliest kind there is (60s - 70s big brown and yellow flowers). And did you see his keyword spamming? "slant needle, 401, 503" etc.

It's a singer 404 at a decent price, but some parts of the description are funny.

"This machine runs fast and smooth and changes all functions. "
What functions? It's a straight stitcher. stitch length? tension? throat plate elevator?

    And this:
"There is some electric tape on one of the secondary wheels, I think it was to help it turn. "
Someone put a blob of tape around the bobbin winder

This one will never get old, and will never get sold, either.

It's so ridiculous. Appraised at $22,000 but selling for $2,000 - if it were true, you would never sell it for so little! But a cracker of an ad just the same

How do you like the shoe-making machines growing in the forest here?

They are in better shape, and less costly, than some of the regular sewing machines I see here. Looks like a precarious move though.
