Missing the slide plate, bobbin won't turn, maybe the wrong part in it, remove the piece and the machine sounds great. Yep, all good selling points!!!!

I wonder if it had ever been used? Very unusual to see a sewing machine that is almost in pristine condition.

MUCH better deal I'd like to see it when you're finished with it.

The Slide plate is a problem, I don't know what it shares with, but I bet the bobbin case is in wrong and jamming it. Or the hook shaft is bent. A non-smudged pic would sure help determine that. The 431 I have here had a bent hook and it jammed, but I've also seen the BCase put in wrong and do the same thing. Based on the expertise of the seller, I'm guessing the latter is the problem.

yeah.....and I could not help myself, I wrote them..... I asked how firm they were on the price while explaining that the machine was worth it, but that i just could not afford that much. We shall see what develops.

When a see a picture of a machine in that kind of condition, it just breaks my heart. It is the same feeling I get when the ASPCA commercials that show all the sick & injured dogs living in shelters come on the TV.
