I've noticed that in a few instances of late. Follows a recent pattern of store managers becoming "antique experts"
A nearby store raised the price of LP's to $5-6 because they're "collectable" when pretty much everything they had was barely worth a buck. So now it sits. Soon they'll follow another local GW store that doesn't sell vinyl because "there's no market for it". Sad since that store used to get a lot of really good jazz.

I get that they're in it for good reasons and they should get a fair price but when they turn into those CL sellers that see a pristine example on eBay sell for top dollar and then think their sad case is worth the same money.....

Well, imagine how lucky this person is to have one of the first sewing machines ever made! And, it's a "must-see", but apparently we are not allowed to see it since there's no picture! Gave me a good giggle this morning.

That was one of my thoughts too, but with the rest of the ad being unintelligible, I thought it possible that they really just didn't care.

Maybe that's why I've had the odd guy say no to a 401 before even trying it out.
It still reads to me like someone needs to try out this test: http://www.xrite.com/custom_page.aspx?pageid=77&lang=en

Translation: I'm too lazy to do the research on what something I own and want to sell is worth, you do it and tell me. A sure way to get less for your product.

    Here's one:

    "Antique Raymond Sewing Machine-Cabinet-Machine-Accessories

Family heirloom that is no longer of use. We are the lineage of the original family that purchased this machine. It is in working order, is original condition and only has one handle missing off the drawer of the unit. We will consider offers."

How does a family Heirloom become unusable? In original condition? I doubt it was sold looking like that... Price isn't too bad though, considering condition and location

Good oppurtunity for someone to own an uncommon Raymond sewing machine at a fair price from a family that has no further use of it and would like to see it go to new home.
