    ok....

let's start with a nut ball ad...
    http://provo.craigslist.org/atq/4101853991.html
"Old wooden humpback case singer... Full size (not the quilting model) In good shape... Has a service on it... Not used since... Contact me, we will see what works for both parties.."

then move on to two really nice Singer 12 deals....

Does it have a blowhole too?

"interesting conversation piece and even sews if poorly."
I suspect that it wouldn't take much to get it sewing well. Possibly just have to replace the user...
Man I wish I saw machines like that around here.
No wait. I'd be broker/more broke than I am now if they were around here.

I have a quilting BFF in Utah ~ she says all vintage machines are priced like they're made out of gold. She was happy with my price which was $0.00 and a hug.

The one is Connecticut is about 1/2 hour from my family. Oh how I would love for them to pick it up for me but no believers in feeding the addiction in them thar parts of the woods.

Might be worth shooting an email to the seller and showing them what they sold for.
Thanks for the info. DH saw these 2 ads and seriously said "NO, we don't have the room." Like that's an issue. Okay, it might be but that's besides the point.

#1, that's the cleanest machine I have seen. I can't tell if it's $200 or $300 though. The cord looks scary.

#2 You put the lime in the car charger and drink it all up....

the #1 ad http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bar/4125633824.html is funny to me because I just had someone drop this same machine and case at my house (Because he knows I collect and it was a cool old machine... oops.)
