I assume it's the same thing with Singer. All sewing machines are Singers.
Aspirin was Bayer's trade name. It became generic for acetylsalisic acid. Coke came close to becoming generic for cola. Coca-Cola fought it off. One of the last machines I purchased was described as "Singer Capri Aqua Blue Sewing Machine Brother Motor." I agree Singer, for some, has become generic for old sewing machine.

At least they showed the machine. A lot of folks only show the cabinet, as if that is the sewing machine.

Kinda like selling a car and showing the garage, but not the car.

He replied with his phone number. I'm not going to waste his time if nobody wants it though. If you do want his # let me know. I told him that I live in CA by my collector friend lives local to him, but that you re no longer interested because you found one for $15.

Poor guy -- his price went from what, $500? to $200 to $50 and now he finds it's worth 15. What a buzz killer (for a smokin' guy).

Honestly, this ad is too funny; they are looking for people to sew these rubber pants. The first baggy plastic pant photo is particularly awful! How do I post the photos properly...?
