This actually doesn't seem like a bad deal! I'm kinda tempted, but I'm already testing the boyfriend's patience with the 201 I brought home yesterday. Besides, I need to save my money for repairing the 201!

not a bad deal at all. What does your 201 need? Rain has a lot of information on those on his blog site. http://vssmb.blogspot.com/

Oh, I ordered most of the parts (little things, like the rubber wheel for the bobbin winder) from Sew-Classic last night, it's mostly the need to buy more chemicals and supplies to strip and repaint it. Plus there is just no room for another sewing machine!

http://salem.craigslist.org/art/2894285439.html The machine is actually nice looking...leeeeeeeeeetle bit spendy, but the ad makes me smile!

"This vintage SINGER ELECTRIC SEWING MACHINE is not just any ol' sew machine, but it is the MODEL- 99K!
It is a portable sewing machine with carrying case and uses an electric foot peddle for your sewing pleasure.

It is a HIGHLY DEPENDABLE not to mention a stylish looking sewing machine.

Do the newer sewing machines of today frighten or confuse you with ALL the extras they'll do??
Do you just need a good sewing machine that will get your normal everyday sewing needs done?
Do you still wish for a 'trustworthy' and 'established' name brand sewing machine?

WELL, THIS IS YOUR SEWING MACHINE! SINGER - 99K--SIMPLY THE MOST EASY SEWING MACHINE TO SEW WITH.

    PRICE: $199"
