I wonder if you can treadle that - or does it just plug in - kind of stealth...

It's got a light inside, so it's electrical. It's not a plastic toy, anyway!

*sigh* Why oh *why* do people advertise a sewing machine, then not post a picture of it? Yes, nice table with two cords, but where's the machine? And then they wonder why it doesn't sell.

Speaking of not being able to see what is for sale -- today at a garage sale, there was a nice cabinet all closed up with nicknacks for sale on it. I asked what kind of machine they had. They said it was a Singer. I asked what model they said 1953. I asked what model, and they said Singer again. Anyway, the cabinet drawer had a box of beautiful short shank attachments and a manual, so we finally found out that it was a Model 99. I asked the cost. The answer was $300, but that they would probably go down to $200.

After asking if I could buy the black side screwdrivers in the drawer and was told no, I finally said what a great machine the Model 99 was and that they should probably lift it out of the cabinet, so that people can see it. The lady said, "Yes, we should."

I am not in the market for a $200 or $300 Singer 99, but if I were, I would have had to beg them to let me buy it.

Cute? Let us be the judge of that, and we would have an opinion if only we could see it!
