Well! I must say, after seeing what might lie ahead if DH & I continue to succumb to this vintage SM bug.... that all this is just beyond....

    AWESOME!
It's so cool to see how you each make the machines a part of your home!
Still laughing over that "command center". Also love hubby's chaise lounge area. MY DH gets lonely and bored when I'm sewing. I should do something like this for him.
Charlee you are proof that you don't need a large home to do this. What a great thread you've started - I hope it keeps going!

Looks as if I will have to take some pics of how I store, display and hide my collection. I would have a problem if they ALL came out of hiding as DH thinks I only have about 20 . But the idea of sturdy book cases for displaying the portables is a great idea. Is this part of the "12 step program" Charlee?

"C'mon....if I can suck it up and post pics of my clutter and messy sewing room, you can too!! " Charlee's quote

Yeah, but, Charlee, your clutter is so nice and collectible!

Deep blue is one of my favorite colors, so you can imagine quite easily what caught my eye! But, seriously, how nice your displays are and thank you for starting this thread and strutting (I mean showing) your stuff.

Oh, gosh, you are sewwww funny! We have two hallways and one is long and wide. I just asked DH to build me bookcases to display my machines that don't have cabinets.

It does help if DH is with the program... We have machine or machines in every room but the bathrooms and hallways.

Just got word that the painters are coming in tomorrow, masking everything off and painting. We have to be out for about six hours. I mentioned to DH that we could go to some other cities in that amount of time and vsm shop... Could be cheaper than fabric shopping!

Next week we have to be gone for a few days since they are replacing entire kitchen and dining room floors. We sustained interior water and roof damage with our wind/rain storms in early June.

[sorry, everyone, I am in a silly mood... must be due to the painters coming in tomorrow]
