Vintage Sewing Machine Shop.....Come on in and sit a spell
Nancy, the last date on my Little Willie is April 17, '83 The serial number is a scratch? 49306 or 00. The base looks like it might have been in a cabinet at one time. The metal is worn, but everything moves. He is neat. I think he is a model 64 as well.

Sewbizgirl,
The 99 weighs a ton!! The 301 I think is only around 20 lbs but I would consider the 99 too heavy to lug around and use as a class machine.

I'd read the 301 weighed 16 lbs, and the 99 a little more. As long as it's under 40, it's not too heavy for me!

I think that the 301 only does forward, backward, and maybe a zig zag? Don't know for sure, but I don't think they do any decorative stitches? Sharon, what do they do?

I went back and bought my second 201, in the Art Deco cabinet. The head is in much better shape, cosmetically, than my first 201, but after Billy's story I'm scared to plug it in! (Sorta...) I'm going to try and leave it alone until I have the undisturbed time to get to the bottom of the motor problem.
I tried to take the head out for transportation home, but with the motor being wired through the cabinet I just gave up and left it in...
Will get some pictures to post, soon...

Once I get my hands on a manual for it, and figure out how to thread it... maybe I'll have courage enough.... lol. I think I can, I think I can...
