Nancy you and Mr. Billy talked me into it. Got back home a bit ago. 5 hours later I am back home..and it is settled in. It needs a little cleaning but not bad at all.. moves well... draws are pretty full of great stuff. The lady I purchased from was very nice and gave me the family history on it. It was her Gram's. Her Gram has been gone for many years and the lady is moving out of the country so is parting with many things. Very nice lady. Anyhow, here are a couple of quick pics....[/quote]

What a pretty machine!!! I hope to have a parlor cabinet one day.

Thank you all very much. I really like it too! I will play with it tomorrow a bit. Then I have some decisions to make. Been buying quite a few machines...you know the kid in a toy store story. It's me , It's ME..
Will be getting some cleaned up and some painted and will be selling a few. Will be hard choices, funny how you can become attached to a machine..

I, for one am glad you made this clarification. For some reason, I too, was confused about whether the handwheel had to be spoked with treadling. Thanx!

DonnaMare, this is really a pretty decal pattern. Congratulations!

Weedwoman: That's funny to me that on your other one, you are trying to remove the remaining decals because they are too far gone, when most of us are trying to save what's left! I bet it is pretty shiny black. That is the look I want for that special 15 I'm searching for. .. . shiny black and chrome!!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm always happy to show off my new sewing room. I downloaded some pics on webshots, and they can be found here: http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/...78470011jjMxMP

These pictures are when we first moved in, but you are able to see the fixtures and get the 'feel' of the room anyway. I've put a few extra treadles in there since then, and will need to update my pictures very soon. Right now it looks like a fabric monster threw up all over the place in there. ha ha
I love your sewing room, can I come sew with you? Your dog makes a nice addition to your room. Kathie

    Happy Treadler,

Is your Two Spools in the original cabinet? I would love to find a cabinet/treadle for my Two Spools. For now, it is in a modified Singer straight-leg; this works, but looks a bit odd in my opinion. Yours is a gorgeous cabinet.

That sounds like that is the correct setup.
I like the photo in your avatar, beautiful. Where was that taken?

Happy Treadler, love the sewing room and your machines! Wow, you have a Davis VF, a Two Spools, and a very nice blue 128 and what else? I couldn't tell, looked like you also have a 15, not sure of the rest? Very nice set up!

I was kinda torn about removing all the silvered decals on the redeye but she looked so ragged and embarrassed and now she looks shiny and proud. OMG, I think maybe I've finally lost it, I'm giving them feelings and emotions. I think I'll go look at a quilting book for therapy. lol
