I have heard so many good things about Featherweights I just couldn't pass this one up - btw, her name is Maggie. Funny how I new her name the moment I saw her pics...
Very nice find! The 222's (with the freearm capability) are harder to come by than the 221s, as less were made.
Thanks, I can't wait to get her here safe and sound and find out more about her.

I think i'm gonna call about this one. Can anyone clue me in about this model? Is it worth it?

    TIA
Basically a stripped-down Singer 99. No light fixture. Easiest one to convert to HC.

    What is HC?

OK, I found this much out. He says it does not say singer on the machine but that he's heard they were made by singer. But I guess I've learned from here that there were other companies that made knock offs??? Are they as equally as good or no?
I seen one of these in a thrift store a couple of weeks ago.
The one I seen was the same size as the 99K. Looked identical to it but said Spartan on it. Really a nice machine.
The Spartan is a Singer. It was their lower line of machines that they tried to sell but never really took off. The Spartan 192 (identical to the Singer 99) was a limited run and they are very sought after. The Spartans and the White Featherwieghts were the low priced introductory models that Singer sold.

This is the only Featherwieght that I will ever own. I have been looking for one that was not out in the stratosphere on the price. If you paid anything under $800 you got a steal!

    That is a nice machine!!!!!

    Tammy,
I don't have any info--but she is really cute!!! Is the machine small or is it just the picture? Really like it.
