I have what I think is a Minnesota D model treadle machine. I say D model because the serial number starts with a D. It belonged to my grandmother, who got it used in the late 40s or early 50s. How can I find out more about the manufacturing date and repairing the machine? I have discovered the thread and have been reading through it, but starting from the beginning it will take me a while to make it through all the posts.
My latest finds. The Singer 15-125 is a early birthday present from DH.
The 15 clone I picked up at our church rummage sale for $20. The poor thing has only been used three times. Her owner found out that sewing was not her thing, DD used it once and decided she didn't like to sew either.

For those familiar with the Singer 66, is there a feed dog cover or something similar to buy to attempt FMQ on the machine? Since I bought her, I've had glowing reviews about FMQ on the 15's, but I don't have a 15, I have a 66. Since the 66 will be my only vintage machine for a while, I might as well learn how to FMQ on her since it was the reason I purchased her. Also, if I have to buy a feed dog cover or something, are there boardmembers out there I could contact about the part before resorting to other websites?Thank you, Melissa
