Thanks for sharing the link! It is a good reference for identifying the decals.

My question is: Is it worth getting fixed or should I just sell it as is? I probably do not want to spend more than $250 since I just bought a new machine.
Cheri, those Pfaff's are great machines. If I found/was given an older Pfaff, I'd take it. I don't doubt the Aunt sewed on it until she died - those machines are just so dependable!

Another CA folks on this board planning to show at the GCTOGA ? I went to the MINI TOGA in June and had a blast! There were some gorgeous machines that were shown along with quilting projects.

Monica, I am hoping to be able to go, and Quiltncowgirl had said she would like to go, too. I am hoping to get my DH interested enough in the vintage/antique machines so that he will start learning to work on them....this could be our retirement business!! But I am sure he won't come to this TOGA...maybe next Spring.
Wow, that makes 4 of us from this shop going in September to the TOGA! Maybe 5 is Candace comes?

Monica, myself, Kathie, Janice, and Sheryl! This is going to be fun!~

Why don't one of you make the guy an offer! I'd go for it if I hadn't of gotten the Hitachi! I still might!

That's a nice machine!! I have my DH's mom's Adler in a cabinet from 1957...we had it adjusted, but it keeps doing weird things. So right now not using it. Might set it up again one of these days and go through it. It's a TON!! Solid iron.
Janice I love your Lotus, really nice decals!

The Adler you have is electric isn't it, has to be if it is a 1957 machine. This Adler is older and a treadle, which is why I am watching it on Craigslist!

Candace are you going to get the Adler?

    Nancy
Not me, Nancy. I bought 3 machines in August alone!

Nice pattern. Most of the decals I've seen around here are extremely worn or are the later filigree type.

I found these pages with some examples:

Thank you for the link --------- interesting.

I've been told that most walking feet for 301's need to be "modified". True??

He says not, I'll let you know when it gets here! I've not even oiled her up yet or blown out the dust. I think DH wants to either help or do it and do it outside for some silly reason :D and I have been lollygagging about getting the wire we need for at least part of the controls....I did want to actually get some quilting done, silly me

I think you're correct - if you go to http://shop.sew-classic.com/Singer-Slant-Shank-Even-feed-Walking-Foot-301-301A-SCF301WF.htm, Jenny has a walking foot for the 301/301A

Candace, the replacement part that I bought did not work at all. I looked around and found original parts. Did you recieve your bobbin case and have you used her yet?
