Hubby fixed that with a lot of oil. The needle bar was turned the wrong and hubby also fixed that. PS
We also discoverd that the big wheel that the belt goes around is missing. Does anyone have one for sale?Kathie
Kathie, your hubby is getting good at sewing machine/treadle repair!

Are you talking about the treadle wheel? If you are missing the pitman, the skirt guard, and the treadle wheel, I think you just need to find an old treadle base! Then between the two of them, put together a complete treadle!

Oh, want to know what it cost me???? I got it home in my carryon luggage so no shipping cost. Just had to leave the dress from the wedding at my Mom's. So so far I'm out $8.99 plus tax. I think she will jump to the head of the cleaning line. I have a treadle cabinet from my other Davis so that is where she will go. I will post some pictures next week when I am back home.
Quiltaddict, I am on the hunt for a Davis VF1, and have a bid on one. Cross your fingers for me...hope I get it. It looks rough, but I love the profile on these beauties!! Congratulations on your VF2...very exciting!! And a great price to boot!! Wow!!
