Well, after only watching Cathy put mine on let's hope we can do it ourselves!

I would love to go back up in the Spring for a TOGA...but next time we need to allow more time. That was a very quick trip for going so far!

I already sent these to Nancy, but thought I"d post them here too, just in case someone has a set in their parts pile and doesn't recognize them. These are the hinges for a Pfaff cabinet.

    In order:
    1. Looking down at it from the top. The pip on the top left is actually the stem that fits into the hole on the machine base.

    2. From underneath-you can see the base is square (and that I'm missing a screw!) and the hinge body itself it flat, not round.

    3. This is close as could get to a dead-on shot. (Pardon the rubber band-it's holding the hinges up.)

Hopefully the Turlock TOGA occurs in February, that way you and Janice don't have to travel as far.
I will miss you and Janice. I still have the image of you working so diligently on your sewing machine cover at the last TOGA.

Monica, that was so much fun making that sewing machine cover! I have it on my 99. That would be great if the TOGA were in Turlock, which would save us about 2 hours drive!

LOL - I was a woman on a mission! There was no way I was going to spoil the occasion & have to finish my sewing machine cover on a electric powered machine!

It will be tough for me to make a TOGA in February. I am entering my busy season & usually work most every weekend Jan-Feb. Will keep an eye out for something a bit later in the spring.

Sheryl, whatever works for you will probably work out for me. I had such a good time going with you, I wouldn't want to go without you! :-)

Nancy, We have three different machines in a cabinet that use the same pin. One is a Domestic and one is about a 1964 Brother. So just maybe these pins will show up on e bay or a repair man will have some. Hope this will help you some.

Cool - I feel the same way! I was also thinking I need to find out the exact date of your guild show so I can try to plan to make it. Isn't it towards the end of January? If I plan right I think I can swing getting away for a day.

Just want to jump in here and tell about something I learned yesterday while visiting with my mother. Most of you will probably all ready know this but for some of us "new bee's" it might help.

While talking about my new treadle machine I told her I only had one problem with it "there is no back stitch". She kind of laughed and we went on talking. Then all of a sudden she said "I remember, I remember!" "You remember what mom?" Well she remembered how they did a backstich. "Just raise the presser foot and guide the material back & forth". Daaaaa guess that makes sense but I hadn't thought about it.

Everyone have a safe and Happy Holiday!

I will try to be at the Toga Tuesday. It depends on how I feel. I have been sick since Saturday. Kathie

Yes, its official! Cathy is having a mini TOGA next Tuesday. I will bring my Standard for those to inspect and give it a try.

Are you going to be there? Anyone else? Candace, Grayhare, Kathie...I think I'm missing someone else.
