    Yes,Sherri it had a "cabinet" but it kinda looks like a table to me. It is missing its nose and has a few attachements and the manual so it probably wasn't a good buy--but I had to have it.

    I think we'll start working on them this weekend cause it's sure too wet to do anything else. We went shopping last night for all the cleaning supplies we need to do the job right. My DH seems to be getting into this sewing machine thing and it's fun cause we can do it together.

    Judy sometimes you can go to the local automotive paint stores and they can put the colors in the spray cans for you. I would use automotive paint if I were you or an epoxy paint.

    Yes you can, I use the Singer oil on all of mine and never had an issue.

    The 500 series machines were notorious for the faceplates and the tops of the machines breaking. It might take you a while but they are out there to be found but be very careful with them.
