I'll try that. she's quite grimy but I guess at 140 years old that is to be expected haha! Does anyone have any firm dating info on Domestics? I know there's not alot of info out there. I'm guessing the number on the actual machine is the one to date from.

That looks like my 9W, which make very pretty stitches.

Nancy, Thanks again for all your work in piecing the squares together and quilting. Your choice of fabrics works well with all the blocks.

Glenn, Thanks for all your posts on refinishing cabinets...and showing off your drawers! So, happy that you love your quilt.

Here is a photo of my block for those that only read this thread. I remember Charlee posting to Glenn a hug and kiss for his help once. So, my block has kissing fish.

We have an Adler that was my DH's mom's. I never knew her...she passed before we met. Anyway, it's from 1957, and it's heavy as a boulder!! Solid steel!! It needs a bunch of adjusting, and we haven't worked on it. It sat unused for 25 years before we got it in 2002. It's a pretty green, darker than the picture you put up.

Love the quilt, everyone. I so wanted to participate in it, but was way bogged down with a quilt that just wouldn't finish!! Anyway, it came out so wonderful!!! You all outdid yourselves, and Glenn I couldn't think of a nicer guy to get such an awesome quilt!!! You deserve it for your thoughtfulness and generosity.

Has anyone else had a hard time getting on the board the last couple of days? My computer at work keeps timing out, and tonight I noticed that when the board was loading, there were a couple of Ad programs that kept loading with it. Probably why I couldn't get on at work... Have they added new Ad programs? No fair!! I can't visit during the weekdays now!! (pout, pout!!)

Monica I was watching that 328 on an auction, but didn't go for it. Instead I got a National Reversew, and am waiting for it to come home! I just think they are so cool looking.

DH is still working on the MUT or as I call it, the Frankentreadle. He has the top on it and the generic hole cut in it, and now is figuring out how to cut out a separate "plate" for each machine to sit in. It's coming along!!

    Charlee,
I understand. But perhaps in the near future I'll have an answer I can share with everyone.

I have a 9W-7, when my wife goes to Ft Wayne next month she's going to bring back a Singer 9W in the treadle from her sister. Then I will be able to compare them and share what I find.
