Billy- It's taken this long, but my hubby finally found a wood
worker, he said a solid wood cabinet would be the best way
to go instead of reveneering this treadle, don't know how much
tho. Guess he will have to look at it first. Am anxious to have
my treadle working, so I can get more done, than just looking
    at it and wishing.

If I may jump in. How about buying another cabinet of CL and dropping your machine in that one? I have seen this treadle base and cabinet before. Also maybe all you need to do is find another lid and restore the rest of the wood work?

Sweetsie, I agree with Anna. I think it would be easier to find another cabinet in better condition. Not sure how the prices are in your area though.

Here's one listed on our CL right now.

The cabinet looks in GREAT cond. I don't have $200 for it though. :(

it is a singer 66 dated 1914 and the decals are really rather nice! Didn't think there were any when we started!

I thought that one was mighty pretty Lisa. I agree the cabinet is very nice and the price not bad.

Wonder why they think it was made in England--because it says Windsor?? The Windsor B is a National; can't see this one well enough to tell for sure.
