Hi, Do you have the icon in the little toolbar that looks like a tree in a picture frame? That is the easiest way to post pictures. If yours isn't active, go to 'Forum Actions' in the aqua toolbar near the top of the page. Choose 'General Settings' then scroll way down and activate 'Enhanced Interface - Full WYSINYG Editor'. Save changes and then you should be able to use the tree icon to post pictures.

Glenn, that machine is lovely. No new machines here lately. Had two floods in the kitchen and ruined four rooms of flooring so things are a little discombobbled for me right now.

    OK...
    So I have a Question...
Is there any way to get the Smell out of the Featherweight Case? I have been told it is from the old Glue. I thought I read somewhere about a UV light but not sure.
Also saw some pictures of Cases that I thought was stripped down to the Wood, but it was a custom made Oak Case.

Somewhere on QB there is a very good discussion about getting the smell out of a case. It is likely the old glue mildewed. Try odor eaters, baking soda or sun light - there are people who strip them but if the cover is in good condition it would be a lot of work if odor eaters will get the smell out.

I have "enhanced WYSING Editor" toggled but it doesn't show the tree icon on my menu bar. Reading the directions it has something to do with my browser. So can someone tell me what browser the enhanced WYSING does work in.

If you do a google search "how to get the smell out of featherweight case quilt board" it will take you to the beginning of the discussion on this issue. Also take a look at "Those Fantastic Featherweights site" David may have something on this.

When you click on the reply button you will see a small tool bar above the space to type your post. The tree is the third tab from the end. This is not your browser's tool bar. This is a QB bar for posting your thread or post.

misseva, it is definitely a nice green fully leafed tree - not stark black branches like I'm seeing. This may be the longest Winter ever.

Rodney, thank you for the sympathy. It actually happened again after the new underlayment and flooring went down. The second time it was a frozen drain pipe - imagine that. 30 below is not the coldest this drain has experienced, but apparently, it was cold enough. A heat tape will be installed before next Winter. A new water softener is in place so it's O rings should be good for a few years. Nasty, expensive mess, but no one was hurt and I have water. So many here are without water due to frozen pipes.

Back to SMs. Anyone near N Mich - SA has a National in a cabinet for $16.99. It turns very smoothly. No round front access plate so I wouldn't have know it was a National if it hadn't had "National' on the arm. Plain machine with a slight crinkle, but nice condition. No, I didn't look to see if the bobbin case was there as I'm not buying.
