Thanks Miriam...That little featherweight is mine too. I just bought it on ebay for 195.00..because the price was right. She runs really smooth and fast but has some rust spots on the main shaft...doesn't look like there is rust on the gear wheels. I will take a picture of the clone...I will get a picture up as soon as I can. I tried to look it up with the number I found on the front, lower rim..its hidden when the machine is up. It is also very hard to read...but I am sure it is 56425. I didn't look further, guess I should do that as soon as I get back to her tonight.

Clones don't usually have much of a serial number.

Here is the machine...she had it listed on Craigslist: Its really nice and clean. Where would I find the serial number? I would like to know if it was made in the 70s or 80s..maybe?

Nope. It is a 66 that was made before 1951. The serial # is on the bed below the medallion. You can look it up here.

That looks like an older Singer 66 to me. Nothing like that made in the 70s or 80s. Did you locate the serial number?

This is a Singer 66 made in 1926.

found the serial number..it is on the lip under the bed...as you tilt the machine back. I went to the
singco link above and it is not listed there. It only has 6 numbers, no letters and no dots (as shown on that search website) I am posting the clearest pictures I could get. And one of the center decal. I think the number is 526425..Thank you all for you help!

Here is a better picture of the FW I picked up. The serial number says it was manufactured in March 1950, is a 221 nad there were 10,000 made!
