Here is a picture of a 15-125 for sale on e-bay for $250.00. Very neat looking machine.

201 machines come in tan (rare) or black. Check out this site:

Miz Johnny that is a very interesting site. Now I know the difference between a 15-88/89 and a 15-90! The 15-90's were electric! They look the same to me except that the 15-90's were electric machines. My 15-88/89 is a treadle.

    Nancy
    15-88 was treadle; 15-89 HC; 15-90 electric w/external motor; 15-91 electric w/potted motor.

I took the motor off my 15-90 (needed new wiring), changed the hand wheel to a spoke wheel, and put it in a treadle. I'm so happy that I did.

Weedwoman that was a very luck find. Just goes to show you that we can find those machines we want if we are willing to do the 'hunt.'

Nope...it didn't come home with me, either! LOL
I'll bet whoever paid $55 for that industrial machine knew what they were getting!

I thought if I knew the model then I could find some info on-line before driving to another town. Thanks, Debbie

After searching yesterday ALL afternoon on line & asking Billy & others on the board what they thought of a machine that I had found on Craigslist. I bought it today & have been cleaning it up in my kitchen. It is a Singer 15-125 and the feed does drop for FMQ. I was told by several people that a 15-125 is the sister machine to the 15-91 just in a "light green dress". I had been looking for the 15-91 when I spotted this machine. The young man that sold it to me for $60 had recently bought a house where the furniture & odds & ends were left in it. He didn't know anything about the machine. Neither do I, but I am going to have fun learning. I tried to test the sewing and I think the bobbin tension is off. I hope that I can fix that by reading the manual. Yes, the original manual and a few attachments were in a drawer! Yippee! Although, I have no idea what the attachments are...ha. I do need to find out what type of darning/fmq foot and walking foot that I should buy to fit this particular machine. Thanks to Billy & everyone that gave me their advise. Pictures are below. Isn't she pretty?! Debbie

Hi Billy, speaking of a 201, could I order a part for my 201 from you? I think it is called a thread guide and it goes just below the needle clamp. Thanks, Loraine

FABULOUS!!!! Oh, I want one....I did not know that the wonderful 15's came in anything other than black.....now I really do want one....I have at least five of the black machines ((15-90's and 91's)...one of them will just have to go to make room for a pretty one like yours....let the hunt begin.........
