That is a "beasty buttonholer". $10 in 1945 was a lot of money. Is there a part number on it?

Thanks for the info...just a note , have found info that this machine was probably manufactured sometime between May26,1896 and Dec.28,1897...Awesome!! and it is now stitching pretty well (still needs some tweeking on tension) thanks to your help!
