Pretty machine, Charlee. I haven't been online much since breaking my arm but it's good to see your post. I hope you are doing better.
nanna-up-north! How did you break your arm?? Are you ok now?
I am doing better as long as I remember to take the pills I'm supposed to take now...hard for me, I not only hate taking pills, but I've never had to take pills before! I know that sounds lame, and I do try to remember...
Cathy...I have a place for you ANYTIME!! C'mon!!

WOOHOO!! I don't hafta be jealous of Nancy anymore... This is my Christmas gift from my son and daughter in law!!!! It's 1910...and I'm in love with it!! No manual, but it did come with the original attachments in the "Gnome" tin....

I am quite jealous. Is that a beast like my Pfaff 130?
I think everyone that can appreciate art as well as sewing machines has to be at least a little envious. The condition is absolutely fantastic! The detail everywhere on it, even the legs is impressive to say the least. Love it! ~G~
My first thought is, I'm wondering if there is a burr or some oil residue causing that. Could you be turning the hand wheel the wrong direction? Is that latch going all the way in or on backwards? I don't know that machine at all - I think I might have one but haven't gotten to it yet. I'm thinking I have one with a bobbin like that somewhere.
So frustrating! A dear friend found this for me and now that it is cleaned up, it is SO quiet. All except for the cursing that happens when I try to sew!!

Perhaps I can bring my WFR head over to help troubleshoot the problem. We would have to turn the handwheel manually to stitch cause I removed the motor a long time ago. Yeah folks, Redbug and I live about 7 miles from each other and thanks to the QB are very, very good friends.
