I understand it is a less common color. I saw one for $100. I'm sure prices vary a lot.

looking to identify this machine, and know what year it was made. It belonged to my Great Great Grandmother, who died in 1942. I believe it to be an Eldredge or national Manufactured for the Charles William Store.
Also, you can't see it in the photos, but it has the name Richmond across the front, that has worn off.

I said I was done until my WG arrives unless something rare comes my way, but I broke down and picked this one up yesterday. After getting my Jones treadle from SteveH and absolutely falling in love with it (Jones is my maiden name) I found this one right over by my church and after talking to the lady, who brought it over here with her 30 years ago after being stationed in the AF with her hubby in England, she said it had to come home with me (She's a Jones girl also) so I picked it up yesterday. It has the user manual, a receipt from buying a pair of knickers from 1919 for 15 GBP, a handful of attachments, and it has the shuttle and bobbin. The slide plate has a patent date of 1893, and the serial number is in the 55000s. I'm guessing maybe 1893 or 1894 for the date. Either way she is stunning. She'll look lovely next to her big sister, as this one is a 3/4 size machine but the other is a full size.

Default Continental treadle cabinet

Continental treadle cabinet. The machine is a rebadged National, I believe. It's in commercial storage now and I can't check that. Posting it to show the carved detail on the cabinet.

(Excuse the other objects, lol. I took the pic while packing things to move.)

Singer 6268 embroidery machine. I sunk an awful lot of cash into this barker (dog) and its various embroidery cartridges and accessories. The tension on this never worked right. I had it adjusted ad nauseam. By 2001, its numerous demonic possession issues plagued me too much, so I just gave it and all of it's paraphernalia back to the Singer store.
